Just wondering if anyone has any pics of their cars with falt black tail pans they can post..
What did the black tail pan originally mean??

I think the black tail pan originally designated a big block SS car.

Don is right. BB SS car I was just looking through some pictures of my SS396 to post for you but the paint is fathom green and the black tail panel doesnt show up well at all.

From all the orig big block SS cars I have seen over the years the tail pan has every time been gloss black and not flat like a lot of people do it.
