Hey guys
What is the going rate on getting Full quarters install. The car (70 Nova) is bare and has been sand blasted and primed. so no disassembly required other than working on Quarters? Any info would be appreciated. Thought about doing them myself but didn"t know what it would cost to get them done. Thanks for the info..
And what really suxs about the whole thing is that I tried to cut cost and originally put in skins and quickly learned the hard way in the wallet that was the wrong way to go. So now I get to back track.

Just talked to the owner of the local Maalco and he was saying that things are still going steady surprisingly enough but it doesn't mean that there aren't a few guys out there looking for work on the side.
If you can find someone that can help assist you in the installation you will speed it up and get to learn along with saving some money doing it.
Doing them by yourself if you have never done them before can be a time consuming and costly situation if you mess up. It can also be very rewarding and save you a lot of $$$.
So meeting yourself in the middle by paying for some help might be the way to go.
I personally wouldn't think that anything less than $1500 for both sides would get you a quality job from someone doing it on the side and someone else who does it for a living will have to answer what they will do it for since labor cost can be from $ 60 an hr to triple that. You hopefully always get what you pay for and you always would think that the more you pay per hr the faster and better quality of work will show up.
Goodluck and take a bit of time to think it all out.

20 hours per side including outer wheels houses. Deduct 4 hours for no outer WH, but they always need to go with the quarter.

WOW Frank did you pull that straight out of a vintage Mitchell Guide?? Considering most cars average 16hrs and that is for new tin and OEM parts
Only kidding as that is a very fair labor hour rate of course the amount per hour also usually effects the hours asked for. VA isn't far from Florida.
Hate to say it but after then you have a car with hung 1/4's so where do you go from there? Unless you are willing to invest in all the tools and equipment and most likely be satisfied with an average job get a price on the whole job. If you are doing more than one and it is a driver, go for it!!

thanks for the info. guys. those prices is pretty much what I have been quoted on prices.
My car had quotes of $600 per side to as much as $1500 per side!
...and I provided the full quarters.
Our rate is about $50-$60/hr here.
