Mark Stielow seems to have dropped out of media sight. Does anybody know what he's doing these days? Any new projects?

he's still with GM in high performance vehicle operations. He has another 69 Camaro he's tweaking for himself along with a build for a friend.

actually it is, Charley bought that car before Power Tour this year.

So, with the exception of the Chevelle that you now own, Jody, does Charley now own every vehicle Stielow has built?

I think he only has Red Witch, Mule and Camaro X. If I remember right, he sold Thrasher a few years ago.
Jody or Charley himself could answer better.

yeah, he sold Thrasher to a friend in AZ I believe. He also never owned the first white 69 Camaro Mark built.

I am pretty sure GM will be around in some form after the dust settles, but I would think Mark Stielow could rent a building and start building performance cars and parts for the general public if he wanted. And while I am sure he is paid very well at his level you would think he could double his income if not more. I don't know the man but I kind of admire the fact that he did not do it years ago because we need brilliant people making product for the masses. That said imagine what he could produce for our hobby given no restrictions or board members. He has to be thinking the time is coming? If and when he chooses to open a shop I know there will a line forming for him.

The first Camaro that started it all lives about ten miles from us and we see it and the owner occasionally. Very nice guy and he loves that car. It's called Tri-Tip and I have absolutely no idea how Mark gave it that name other than it's what he may have been bar-b-queing while he contemplated the build ...
Other than Tri-Tip, I think Charley's owned all the rest.

I saw him @ SEMA and spoke briefly, but no real insight other than he's still at GM.

Mark is overseeing Jackass for me. A 69 with a LS9. He is also working on a 69 for himself that so far he is calling the blue bomber. A friend has the Thrasher,,,but I miss it. Camaro X is here but could be available. Mule and Red Witch are also here. Mark is busy at work amid all the turmoil at GM. Hopefully both our new cars will be on Power Tour next year. And then Howell's shindig the next weekend......

Does anyone know the story behind this car? I don't think I've seen or heard anything about this car in the past. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks
