im big on magazines. which ever project ive engulfed myself into, i always hit the newsstands for mag's. im always picking up the multiple late model mustang mags, various offroad truck mags, and Grassroot Motorsports magazine. in 2000, i won a 7 year subscription to car craft for $2.32 (no b.s.) on eBay so ive always had that coming in.
i have noticed that Popular Hot Rodding has had more & more coverage of g-machine's lately but jus want to know which mags you guys read most?
which has the most coverage of early model mustang g-machines?
thanks everyone!

I get any magazine that has something I'm interested in. I get all the mainstream magazines, like PHR,Hot Rod, and Super Chevy. I also get other magazines that nobody here would have a particular interest in too. As far as mustangs, hmmm.... I'm not sure of any that have really embraced the g-machine theme. Most mustang magazines cover them equally. Mainly restorations from what I've seen though. But I don't see much.

your best bet would be Mustangs and fast fords. They'll catch on, even if they still call pro-touring "restomod" in the ford world. we know what they mean. PHR is actually one of our biggest friends in that, they actually hang out and post here often. Hang out on the boards much and you'll figure out who is with what mag.

PHR is big on the PT and g-Machine deal.. specificly 1960 and newer. We would shoot more Mustangs if we could find them :)
In fact the July issue has a very nice Mustang in it.. and we should be starting a new Mustang project soon (in order to give out more love to the ford guys).. Super Chevy is pretty good but as the name implies no Mustangs there..

I buy the magazines that speak to me. They are Popular Hotrodding and Camaro Performers.

Here is a recent thread on a similar subject. :icon996: You may find some info there.

Car Craft, PHR, Super chevy. I enjoy Camaro Performers, because I am a camaro owner.

I subscribe to PHR, and I buy Camaro Performers when I see it on the news stands.

I posted this on another forum I frequent, but I'm also a bit of an magazine addict... I subscribe to the ones that most often have something I dig, which includes:
Mustang & Fords ($18/12 issues)
Mustang Monthly ($18/12 issues)
Mustang Enthusiast ($17/12 issues)
Hemmings Mustang ($20/6 issues)
Hot Rod ($9/12 issues)
Popular Hot Rodding ($12/12 issues)
Car Craft ($7/12 issues)
Sport Compact Car ($25/12 issues)
Car & Driver (free, it was a gift/12 issues)
Grassroots Motorsports ($17/8 issues)
Hot August Nights' paper (free with HAN registration/6 issues)
...and now Street Thunder ($10/6 issues)
This doesn't include the random issues I'll buy at the stand occasionally either. Still, I've realized that I'm subscribed to more magazines than I actually have time to read (especially on top of my doctoral research). As of right now, I receive a total of 12 car related publications, 122 issues, costing $153 per year. The really frightening thing is that I'm actually saving money by subscribing to all of them rather than buying occasional issues. Heck, $153 would only get me a total of 38 issues at the cheap price of only $4/issue. Heck, most magazines' newstand price is more than that, so I'm really doing pretty well.

As mentioned, PHR is the best - We just need to work on getting more Mustangs for them! :wedgie:
Mustang & Fords covers the early cars fairly well, but tends to be pretty "mild". Mustanf & FAST Fords is late-model. Mustang Enthusiast has run some decent articles, but seems to be searching for direction...
