Ooooo, how many died? That sucks bad! Story?
What's that rear suspension? Doesn't look like a leaf?
After high school, I saw a 67 that I had raced a couple weeks earlier end up like that with a dead kid in the pass seat. He lost control on the highway in the rain and got T boned by an oncoming car.

Ok. after using some SERIOUS google fu, i found the following
http://www.tribstar.com/local/images_sizedimage_312001635/resources_photoview
Classic crash: The remains of a 1968 Camaro sits sideways in Poplar street just west of Parkview Wednesday afternoon. Witnesses said the driver of the Camaro appeared to have lost control just before it slid into the path of an oncoming westbound vehicle.

The driver of the Camaro LIVED. His name was Kyle Pendergast and he's 16. He was listed in FAIR condition (!) after the wreck.

man i hope he wasnt acting stupid in the street.. and was a legit loss of control.
crazy to think that you could loose it on a normal street with tires that wide..
TonyL
11-16-2008, 02:46 PM
A witness told police that Pendergast “got on it and lost control of the vehicle,” sliding sideways into Burton’s vehicle.
...
Looks like he tried to drift around a corner and slid right into an oncoming camry.

Look at the road. It's wet. Big tires are a huge disadvantage on wet pavement.

I've searched and searched for any reference to the owner of the car. Car show pics from his home town, etc. Nothing. The kid is an honor roll student though.
There's a prominent doctor in his town with the same last name...

Glad to hear that kid was okay.
Really, the kid should have not been driving a car like that.
Give him a big Ford Crown Victoria to practice his dumb moves. :wrc:
My son drove an old '80's big Chevy conversion van. Who cares if he totaled it or not.
After seeing the Camaro like that...my heart skipped a beat!

Well, lets see. A body with 40+ years of metal fatigue, tires more than twice as wide as OEM, custom front and rear suspension that could also double the load on the body/chassis assembly, and throw in a 500+ horsepower motor. Then add a 16 year old driver. Not much of a surprise in the outcome.
Thank God no one was killed, or that kid would be trading in his honor student status for a set of prison clothes and a new love interest named "Bubba". Someone should slap his old man for ever letting the kid near those keys.

Make up your mind, dude, is he gonna **** or is he gonna kill us?
First he's gonna ****, then he's gonna kill us!
Relax, all right? My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools. I can fix it.
