In the past I have painted a number of cars and always used PPG products. In my search for a color I came across HOK Candy Brandywine, the base coat not the true candy, and decided that was the color for my 69 Camaro.
My question is: With PPG I would do the base coat and a couple coats of clear. Let it dry for a day or two, sand with 600 then layout and paint stripes then more coats of clear over the whole car. Will this approach work with HOK? I see notes about having to complete the job in 12 hours and concern about lifting.
Also what has the experience been with the final step being the flow coat clear?

Yes you can do it just like you said with the PPG .Spray out your car just like you were doing it one KOLOR .Let it dry a day or 2 then sand out the clear with 600 (we use 500 but either is good) lay out your stripes and reclear the whole panel again. NO different then using your PPG
If you're using the UK Kandy you can't let the Kandy coat dry to much before you clear it or it will lift.

You're going to be using KBC? BRANDYWINE It works just like a regular base coat system

You might get away with striping it on top of your kandy base (as long as your using KBC) before your first clear

The flow coat is basicaly just a sand and reclear. You can add alittle more reducer and hardner so clear lays a little flatter
