You guys could put out your own line of diecast with cars you guys build "The PRODIGY SERIES". i like the sound of that

I heard it will be a limited run and don't want to miss out on this one. The real car is one of the nicest Camaros around and this is one way to have a piece of Pro-Tourning. com history.

Bill, that conversation happened. If we ever did it, the attention whore GTO would be one of the first, but I have to get past MotiV8trs Die cast debut first.
And yes guys, it is true. Prodigy Customs and Lane Collectibles will sell only 1000 limited edition (collector quality) Die cast copies of Larry's MotiV8tr.
I will do a formal release in a few days. I am waiting for the Certificate of Authenticity's so you will have something to put under the tree for Christmas, with the actual car coming in spring.
They are the perfect gift for our Dear Santa program this year.

Oh snap! I can't wait to see this. Will it be using the existing mold? I always thought Lane's Camaro mold have some rough edges to be worked out, especially customized. Either way, there's a 98% chance I'll have one.:) :)

I'll take one. I can't wait to see some pics. The "Prodigy Series" is an awesome idea. I also like the idea of Billygoat, Bad Penny, One Lap, Chyssos's Streetfighter (Hey GMP! Shhh!) and Vinny's Camaro.

I do like the "prodigy series" idea.
I was super stoked to see the "Pure Vision" series from Hot Wheels, but then kinda bummed to see that they weren't Steve's cars that he built. I never asked him, but what's up with that?
That will be cool to see!

GMP has a Pure Vision line that is just getting started Jimmy. Currently there is the Z/28 Nova from a couple years back and "Hammer" in it's newly updated form is scheduled for release in January.

I've waited and waited for their to be more Pro-Touring build style in diecast. If I was smarter I would've found a way to create my own line. This is almost as exciting as having the real thing. I'm VERY excited to see this starting to get off the ground with not just one manufacturer. I can't wait to hear the details on it and will be more than happy to add my 2 pennies when the time comes.

Those cars are all great but for my money I want a Brian Finch Corvette, Andrew Borodin GTO (with interchangable engine and wheels) and a Jeff Tate Camaro (complete with Jeff Tate action figure and Elvis sunglasses).

I think when you do a Bad Penny DieCast it should come with Dave and Tyler Action Fgures posing just like this picture.

In a word......Economy! We were OK on outr end, just worried $100 toys might not sell well right now.
The massive investment combined with a cooling in the Die Cast collecting hobby, I simply got scared. It was a very little profit and huge expense deal, we could have lost more then we could have made two fold.
Sorry
