Looking to paint my Mustang, wanting to know if anyone has someone they would refer near Iowa. Car is straight, but needs completely painted. And I don't want to spend 10k on a solid color. Any help would be appreciated.

You might try this shop in Omaha I've seen their work at the kansas goodguys looked really nice not sure of their rates though http://www.j2speedandcustom.com/ The are members here There's also a shop in or near Des Moines thats a member here also. I'm probably a little too far south for you. I'm in Kansas City metro area.

Thanks, I am curious as to who the members from Des Moines are. I know this is completely impossible to estimate without seeing it, but what would you charge to paint a straight rust free car, with not much more than the normal dings, but it is changing colors, so it needs jammed and under the hood and all. Oh and it is a 1990, so it doesnt have a bunch of aftermarket sheetmetal welded on it.

Ditto need more info. Try using the members map or posting in another forum ie. open or outhouse that you are looking for shops or members that are in Des Moines or say within 100 or so miles of you.

Here is a shop in Des Moines. Custom Paint Specialists.
http://www.cpspaint.com (http://www.cpspaint.com/)
Ask for Chris. He did some work on my car. Great guy and the prices are very reasonable. If you want to see his work and you are around Des Moines let me know I can show you my car and I can talk to you about my experiences with the some of the shop here Des Moines. Here is a picture of my car just to give you an idea of the work.

another thing to do is to go to the local paint supply and ask them who does good work in your area. they are always plugged in on the quality work
