Love it! Are the hood and fenders original GM?

The only original bolt on part is the passenger fender...

Nice car.Its good to see the before and after to see how fars its come along.
In the old pic of it, does the vaccum looking canister on the firewall in the driver side fender go to the rs headlight doors? If so can an x44 camaro be an rs?

Wow, that is one hell of a transformation, great job, nice to see the fallow through. so many cars fall short of completion.

That canister is part of the factory RS system. I went with the DSE electric kit though, so I am not exactly sure of the operation. I would have to look at my Cowl Tag to see what my car is coded as. It is definitely an original RS though (and not an SS).

I am not going for originality (you can probably tell). I just love the blacked out tail panel. I have seen big block SS cars with the RS package (and they should have had the black tail panel w/ a 396 Engine).

The reason i asked is because i had a 69' that was missing the front sheetmetal but it had that canister on the firewall. I wonder if i had an rs and didnt know it. , but it was a x44 code.

I bet that you are right... if you are missing the front sheetmetal, the other determining factor would be the rear tailpan. Did you have the reverse light cutouts on that car?

I would like to think it wasn't an rs cuz, i didn't sell it for origional rs type of money, lol.

Check the Head Light switch it should have the vacum lines coming out the back on an RS car.
