For looking at buying a truck right now in this economy. I already have a 07 Nissian Frontier. But I was thinking if I could slide into something a tad bigger for around the same money I pay now I'd look into it. So what do you guys think. Would I be making a mistake for trading in my truck for a full size right now?

Not crazy at all. Like you, I was looking for something bigger as my kids are getting big and they are both playing travel sports (hockey and soccer). I bought a new 2008 Tahoe Z71 loaded in April and love it. The sticker was just over $50k and I was able to get the dealer down to 20% off on a clean purchase (no trade-in) and 5.9% financing (you can probably get an even better rate now). It took about 5 hours of negotiating, but I was able to get what i wanted.

I drive a 06' Dodge 2500 Diesel. I bought it in January, and as everyone knows fuel went threw the roof, I got scared and was just about ready to sell it when I realized that I don't drive very far to work. 10 miles round trip, So fuel isn't whats hurting me, Insurance on the other hand I was getting screwed, not sure why, as I have a clean record, Shopped around and ended up nocking almost $200 of my monthy payment. I'm happy now, next I'm gonna re-fi the truck. Go for it! The dealers can't give them away out here in CA, so nows the time to buy. If I were going none diesel I'd go for the new Chevy, the silverado has come along way and is a really nice truck overall. If you go diesel, don't buy anything with the new Emissions systems on them as they're all problematic and get bad mileage. Oh and stay away from the early 6.0 powerstrokes too. Goodluck and happy shopping.

Yeah I'm kinda not overly worried about mpg's since I live on the same properity as my bussiness. I dont think I want a diesel, I don't really need to tow anything huge and I'm not a big guy. My only thing is I will only buy a 4 door and dont want a bare bones truck. I dont want a hole lot of options I just dont want cheap interior(if you know what I mean). I like the interior of my current truck so I'd like to find something just as nice.
Anybody recomend what full size to get? I like the looks of the Chevy's but haven't driven one in a few years. The F150's are nice looking, my dad has one and I have driven it a few times. It does feel kinda big though. And I have not got a clue about the Dodge trucks.

Just my opinion, but you can't go wrong with GM quality right now. Drive one and you'll see what I mean.
Not so impressed with the Ford products lately.
