View Full Version : Project "My Turn" has arrived
Well the '78 T/A arrived the other day and it is definitely going to be a project. It appears to be solid in all of the important areas at least as much as I've gone over it. This car was ridden hard and put away very wet. When it gets back from media blasting, the truth shall be revealed. Plans are lots of power and go fast goodies as well as some cool rolling stock and all dressed in Black. I'm sure it will take me a while to complete and things will change along the way. It's going to be a full-out family project since my wife and son are eager to help (for now anyway). I've attached some current pictures (hope they upload).

Looks like a great start Nick.
Well the '78 T/A took a turn for the worse. After going over it thoroughly it would have been better used as a cheese grater. The old girl had more rust than the Titanic and in some very critical areas. These 2nd gen cars can get pretty rusty and this car fit that fact to a "T". After debating for weeks on what to do, I decided it would be best to find a more solid car to build on that wouldn't whistle going down the road nor require a large investment in a steel mill. I would have loved too have completed that T/A, but the cost of repair was too high.
I'll post a description and some pics of the new project in the Welcome/New car forum..
