Can you fit a fold down rear seat into a 67 camaro with minitubs?

Sure, if you make it shorter.

My car also had a folddown rear seat. I opted to get rid of it and I'm now in the process of fabbing the rear seat. It is not that big of a deal to fab a new one.
To cut down the lean back section of the foldown seat IMO would be much harder because of the multiple layered back section and then the spring section as well. Take into mind that you will also have to widen the bottom of the side panels.

Someone put a convertible rear seat in my 68 coupe. It's the same size as the fold down. I mini tubbed my car only 1.5 per side so the seat still fits. I also moved the outer wheel house out about 1/2 to 5/8. FRANK :icon_razz

this is what ds&e did to Stuart Adams' camaro:

"Our '69 Camaro project car had the rare fold-down rear seat option, which required additional surgery. DSE took the stock seat back and sectioned it to fit. This step is not required if the standard rear seat is used."
