I'm building a second gen. Camaro and using the DSE sub-frame. The powertrain is an LS2 with Tremec TKO 600. The motor mounts from DSE set the LS back about 3 inches to within 1 inch of the firewall, I like this as far as weight balance Buuut. This requires a small divot at the firewall trans tunnel transition on the driver side which is no big deal, but it gets back far enough that I will have to do some surgery to raise the trans tunnel above the trans to obtain a decent driveline angle. Without cutting the angle at the tailshaft is 4.7 degrees. I'm shooting for 2 degrees, DSE said they used 3 degrees on the test car and from the photos on their website they also raised the tunnel. Soooo, I will be using a 1350 series u-joint and a 3 inch driveshaft which I haven't gotten far enough along to order. I need to know the radius from the center of this type yoke so that I can judge my clearance. There is a main body brace which runs all the way across the car from rocker to rocker where the yoke will wind up and I want to avoid modifying this brace if possible. Sorry for being long winded.
Thanks,
