It sounds like Quaife makes a serious differential without the drawbacks of a Detroit locker. Does anyone know where to buy them? Anyone using one yet?

There are versions under different names. Perhaps not built by Quaife, but using the same design.
As a matter of fact, the Torsen was the first version, IIRC.
Tru-Trac is another, I think.

Another option is a Black Diamond. They are adjustable for starting bias and have benefits of both a limited slip and a torque sensing diff.
