Sorry guys, I know its been discussed, but I have a car that needs to be shipped to me from Syracuse, NY. I'm in Corona, Ca. I haven't shipped a car in about a year or two, and don't have any recommendations for a good service. Who have you guys used in the past? Its not a show car, but its a nice 64 Impala. Open carrier is fine as I would guess that with gas prices, enclosed is through the roof and I need to be thrifty. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone.

Well here is who I use. SCHILLI SPECIALIZED, Horseless Carriage, Intercity. I have shipped about 14 cars over the years and they have always been very very reliable for me.

I definately would NOT use.... AUTOBAHN OR DAS. Both of these carriers have screwed me royally by using third party shippers. One guy didnt even speak english and ripped the bottom half of my exhaust off the car when unloading it. Autobahn did not stand behind it at all blaming ME!!! and would not return phone calls. DAS was another one. Everyone says they will stand behind you UNTIL THERE IS A PROBLEM, THEN the TRUE good carriers step up and show where the difference is....

Try Fedex/Passport Transport.

Back in June, I had my wife's first car shipped from Missouri to North Carolina. I used Reliable Auto Transport. Here is their website:

Adam Talburt was the person I talked with. I was really happy with their service and the price.

Here is a picture of the car...it didn't look this good back in June.
