As many of you know, boliermaker (https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/member.php?u=3997) of Fletcher's Customs is currently working on Ty Ingle's 71 firebird project. (https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/showthread.php?t=49145) Because he's a patriot, and Ty is a 23 year veteran of the Air Force, he's doing some (a lot) of the work at a discount. Ty's original budget was only $3000.00 bucks for this project.

After starting a thread about it, it didn't take long before they realized that they weren't the only patriots wanting to give something back to someone who'd given so much for our freedom. Offers started coming in for discounted parts, some full out sponsored parts and even some paypal donations! Now, this is all a shock to Ty. This was not what he had planned. But this is what pro-touring.com is all about, helping each other out. So, in an effort to simplify things, if you want to help boilermaker realize Ty's dream, Here's the info:

There's a list of things they still need in the other thread.

Thanks for reading!

Guys it purely amazing what this community and its vendors are coming together to do. I am honored to be a part of it.

There are so many things Ty wants or dreams of. We all know some aren't realistic, lol !! But I want to give him some of those extras, something his nice AF pay check want allow.

I think everyone from the bottom of my heart for what you can give! And don't forget labor is also appreciated, lol

And as my part like I said in the thread earlier, I am donating back $500 of what TY gave me for paint. I'm putting it back in the "Extra Stuff" fund for some goodies for the car. After its all said and done, I'll be lucky if I cover my expenses. But for and to me its, worth it!!!

Ty, I didn't see a custom steering wheel mentioned in the list but if you are interested I would be glad to offer you one. Just pick one out from the lists on the pages and send me an email!
(I am not a sponsor on this site. I am hoping I am not overstepping my bounderies!)

Donations do NOT have to come from our sponsors.

/But if they sell them, please use them. It's a win win. Remember, guys like Frank at prodigy and Tim at PRRC sell MANY parts.

Jason,
Your generosity is amazing! I TRULY appreciate your contribution to the project... Chad and I were just discussing three different wheels this morning trying to decide which one would fit the build the best...
As soon as we can decide on just one I'll let you know! LOL
Thanks again!
V/R,
Ty

Take your time Ty, just give me a couple of weeks to make it when you decide on a design. Just throwing this out there, I could make one to match your wheels if you want!

Actually that thread has gotten a ton of attention, not on just this site but several others. 11,260 views and 170 responses just on this board alone. And the project has already been the beneficiary of thousands of dollars in free parts and support. It's our opinion that the thread has run it's course and needs nothing further. Ty's thread is a sticky here because he is a long time member in good standing of Pro-Touring.com and a friend to many of us. We wish the PatroitDream project well and also thank it's recipient (Shawn) for his service. Good luck to them.
