On my Painless Wiring harness instructions, it says to use a ballast resistor between the power wire and coil.

But I'm using a MSD Blaster 2 coil with the 6A box and pro billet distributor and MAD electrica upgrade wiring parts.

Check the wiring diagram that comes with the MSD ignition box. I really don't think you need it. The resistor is only necessary on old school points style ignitions. The MSD stuff isn't. It's more like a HEI style ignition.

No you don't need it, the ballast resistor wire is for the points style ign. coil.

Thanks!

I didn't thinks so but wanted to make sure.
