Hey what do you guys think of these? I just got them and my friend wants a set (painted, not chrome). I may set up a Zenetti Wheel Group buy real soon, if anyone else wants some.

I finally chose these wheels in my long search for something affordable. I refuse to pay more than the something in the low 300's per wheel and wanted something a little different than the nostalgic styles of old. That limited my options quite a bit. It was so frustrating, cause most of the new wheels these days come in the late model big offsets.

I measured carefully with my existing 8 inch wide wheels as a reference to find a combo that would work. These are 18 x 8.5 fronts with a 5.5 backspacing, and 18 x 9.5's rear with a 5.75 backspacing. So, I'll be using a 1/4 inch spacer in back.

The front suspension is all Speed Tech with the Guldstrand Mod. I will be dialing out the adjustable steering stops a bit with this offset, but I like the tires tucked.

I'll be getting the tires tomorrow, so we'll find out soon if I overlooked anything in my measurements.

I checked a few places online, and the cheapest I've seen for the 18x9.5's is $330. For the 18x8.5's the best I saw was $299.

I purchased through my own business though for a little better pricing. My buddy asked me to purchase a set for him which got me thinking about doing a group buy. My set with tires came in shy of $1800

Zenetti seems targeted mostly for new cars, but they have a couple that fit and look at home on older cars.

I just picked up the Falken FK451 Tires today.
275/40ZR18 rears
245/40ZR18 fronts

Fit looks great, but it was too dark for pictures by the time I was done mounting them. So, I'll put up a shot of the car tomorrow.

This is pretty weired. I was at a car show in California and picked up a Hot Hues paint brochure from Dupont. In the back of the brochure are these wheels (I'm almost certain). I tried contacting the publisher/anyone else that could help me out, but no luck. To make a long story longer, love the wheels, and thanks.

MAN, those are some HUGE fuel lines hanging down under the rear of the car! What are those 3/4 - 1 inch lines? they hang a little low, though. ;)

Those wheels look great! Nice ride.

You like that? Believe it or not, my cheap shiny vinyl garden hose is nearly the same color as the car.

So that should help when I tell her how much they are...

I'd want 18x8s for the front and 18x10s out back... $$$???
