I would like to get some feedback on the companies out ther making headers and motors mounts crossmembers for a body swaps (LS). I would liek to keep the motor in the stock location. My first chioce would be edelbrock and hooker, as the quality looks good and cost is not out thier. I have looked at BRP but they look a bit cheap. who else is making these with a good quality? or what else would you recomend?

I've danced with this one already, but with a 69 Camaro. Hooker plates look like someone cut them out with a plazma torch. S&P and edelbrocks stuff is nice. Also ATS has some real nice mounts. Do some research and definitely check out Ls1tech, they have tons of info. I dont know of any mounts that keep the motor in the stock location. My S&P's moved the engine forward roughly and inch and a half to two.

Here some better pictures to show the quality, each hedder is hand made at the Husler racing facility here in Georgia and we take pride in the quality of these hedders. We even made 35RWHP with our baby 1 ¾ hedders over manifolds in a 3rd party testing that was posted on here. Along with a new line of bolt on merge collectors that will be coming out in the near future. Thanks and good luck on the conversion no matter which route you go.

I need to clearify something. Your headers look great but the crossmember and eng bracket look a bit cheap.

I am going to be swapping in a 6.0 into my 68 Buick Sport Wagon and like your kit. I was looking on your site and the headers you have listed are for the 64 - 67 cars and not the 68 - 72 cars. Do you sell a 68 - 72 set of headers?
Thanks for your time.

I stewed over the same for a couple months trying to decide mounts/headers. I just got the edelbrock headers/mounts in yesterday for 1st gen camaro, and very pleased. Headers look great, welds and ports are clean, thick flanges, and the major plus (in my opinion) are the flanged collectors, not to mention they are about the cheapest. The mount plates were pricey in comparison to some of the others, but do look pretty neat. The edelbrock tech said everything stays in the same location from the bellhousing back, so I guess placement is about the same as the hookers. I haven't set the motor down in it yet to see how everything fits.
