first and hopefully last carb to by i have a 383 with dart heads 1.5 rockers & llinati cam .507 lift 235 deg @ 50 i will be using a t350 trans and i have been told i need a mech secondarys any help

also i plain on getting a msd e-curve dis

I might be wrong but i think you need vacuum secondarys for automatics. I know that holley has the calculator for figuring out the cfms you need. The equasion is cubic inches x max rpm divided by 3456. Its pretty close if anything. Hope this helps some im sure somebody with a little more knowledge will chime in.

q-jets can flow over 750cfm (edelbrock advertises theirs at 850cfm)and with proper mods and parts will give you great driveability, power, and even some MPG.
since they have the air valve system you don't have to worry about over carbing the motor.

I just built, installed & wideband tuned one of my custom annular Holley 850's mech sec for a guy with a ZZ4 350 shortblock with Edelbrock heads and a Edelbrock RPM 234/244 cam T-350 w/4.10 gears in a 66' Nova.

He went to the drags last night and picked up .04 sec.
