My brother and I have been working on our dad's 68 Chevelle wagon that he bought new. It has traveled through Europe during his military years before retirement and now we are restoring it and he doesn't know. Hopefully I will have some better photo's soon. The SS hood was something we threw on to make the car look a little sportier.

That is awesome, good for you. One of my "win the lottery" dreams has been to build a '49 Ford coupe for my Dad. Of all the cars he's owned that one and a '66 Ranchero were his favorites. It would be a great way to give back a little of all he's given me over the years.

Here is a before picture. Remember this car has over 100,000 miles from Europe alone. Then a short life as a drag car.

Yeah I know the pictures are all out of sequence, but I just found these. You can appreciate how much time and money has gone into a wagon, especially when they don't make sheet metal for them. The floors are Chevelle coupe and the quarters and wheelhouses are modified El Camino.

Finally, got the car back from the painter, long story and don't feel like going over it again (2 year wait). Anyway here it is a few days ago. Starting to put it back together. It looks really nice.

NEED HELP !!!!!! The body shop that was working on our dads wagon closed up overnight and the rest of the parts disappeared that we need to finish the car. Are any members based in Louisiana that can help locating the parts (supposedly in storage where the body shop relocated from Florida) or where there might be a body lying around where I can get glass and regulators to finish the car. Glass is specific to wagon only. Thanks.

Wow, sorry about the bad luck. That is every hobbyists nightmare. Hope you can get the parts and please let us know what happened.

Its been a long, long time but finally some progress. I'll post new pictures soon, promise. Finally got all the glass and regulators for the car and installed (thats alot being a wagon), which means I was able to start putting in some of the new interior. Wiring harness installed. Bought a built-up complete running 355 w/700R4 for the car. Finishing up the power front disc conversion and except for sway bars the chassis will have to wait for now.
