Very cool allkar, suggestions would be use different layer for everything one for the body color one for the reflections etc etc etc..and name them that way you will keep track. My renderings generally will go upto 200 layers. Also take you line work and duplicate it and invert to turn it white move it slightly up or down so it gives the illusion depth.

And finally just work in the largest possible resolution so when you resize it doesnt give you the jagged edges.

Yeah, I used some layers. Great tip on the invert line! I'll use that. I had to drop the res. to post the pic. I was working at 3200.
Thanks for the tips! I really enjoy your work.

Not bad for your first attempt ALLKAR. I did notice you used a water color filter (or something like it) on the rims and chrome so it would not look like a photo. Which is fine, but maybe a little less on the pixel area.

Also, Z is right on the resolution. I work with a minimum of 300 dpi. A maximum of 600 dpi. I do not recommend 600 if your computer is a few years old or has less than a gig of ram. 300 will be sufficient, you could almost get away with 200 dpi.

I also can use up to 200-230 layers, but I am always using shortcuts to minimize that.

Color choice is great. It will take time to master a few techniques, but keep it up. Some great tips are on http://cardesignnews.com

Thanks for the tut site. I'll try working with a higher dpi. I don't think I have the patience or computer power for 200+ layers. I'm just playing, on my laptop. :twothumbs
