Ls1 turbo setups in 1st gen camaros

Hi,

I recently picked up a clean 67 camaro former Pro-street style car rolling chassis. I am planning on doing a 5.3, 5.7, or 6.0 turbo set up with transmission undecided right now.

I am probably just going to buy a crashed / salvage donor car since I have access to crash auctions.

I tried searching but didn't come up with many links for turbo ls1 in the 67-69 camaro.

Also, the car has a narrowed Dana 60 rear w/ ladder bar set up. I am going to probably be looking for a more streetable rear suspension. Possibly 4 or 3 Link ? I would like to keep the dana for strength and it will be mostly geared towards drag racing but I would like to have the Pro-touring look to it.

I saw the Bad Penny build as it seems to be one of the first pro street to turn into pro touring cars.

anyone have links to turbo ls1 setups in the first gens for me to get some idea's ??

Make sure, if you haven't already done so, check out ls1tech and look in the Conversion/Hybrids forum for turbo setups in various cars. I'm also wanting to go this route although wanting and actually doing is a little different sometimes. I'm definitely throwing a 5.3 or 6.0 in it for sure. The turbo may come after all the bugs are worked out.

Very nice. How big is the turbo?

pte 76. it made 492rwhp/492rwtq. 5.6 psi wastegate spring. ran out of fuel pump at 5500. had 4.5 psi at 2800.
