OK, I know $3K or 4K+ for 4 wheels is nothing to some guys,
but there's GOT to be some wheels out there for around $300-$400 per wheel that are nice.
any suggestions, links? <<<
(And yes I've looked at Coy's, waiting for them to make 18x10 in a certain style I like):)

We have a Bonspeed special purchase and are doing a full set of 18" Bonspeeds for $2200. While not $300 or $400, still a killer deal on truly custom wheels. $300 to $400 is going to push you into Foose, Boyd, American Racing, All high volume production wheels.

We can do our Intro endless series for the following prices for a set.
17's - $1195 (8 and 9.5 inch widths with any custom backspace)
18's - $1495 (8 and 9.5 inch widths with any custom backspace)
20's - $2095 (8 and 9.5 inch widths with any custom backspace)
http://www.introwheels.com/endless_1.shtml
The difference between the endless series and the other series are the limited styles and they have a stepped lip instead of the rolled lip.
I can also do 17's in abut any of our styles, which all have rolled lip rims, for just a hair over $400 a wheel. 18's in most any style we offer will be a little under $500 a wheel. PM me if you have any questions.

ROH is a good choice for decent wheels for a good price. I ended up with about $1400-1500 in the set of ROH Snyper's including Sumitomo tires from Andris Skulte (Skulte.com I think). I'm running 8's and 9's with 245/45's up front and 275/40's in the rear (68 Camaro).
Hope this helps!

I've always been curious as to what a set of Boze wheels would run a guy. I mean I'm not talking anything wild, just a 17 or 18 inch wheel that's 8 and 10 inches wide and I guess would be a custom offset and all that jazz. They look awesome, I'm just wondering about the cost.

That's because anything over 10" is a special order...and figure BIG bucks to widen them.Look again at their site and you'll get an idea of what the upcharge is...figure about $400/wheel to go from 10" to 11".
Newstalgia may offer free shipping but they may not be your best value in the long run.I have found their fitment advice somewhat lacking...there are so many other options available to you sponsoring this board,Jon Henson @ www.driverzinc.com being one of the best.

LOL. I like the Boss wheels also. I Really dig how they worked the center section of the wheels, and brought a new flare to the spoke design. Its hard to redo the famouse TTII, but I think i like this variant best. Even compared to my beloved Coy's.
It seems they only come in 18in with 9.5 being the widest...hmm..woulda liked to have some bigger sizes at least a 20x10 version for the deep lip

I chose a set of 18X9 O.Z. Racing Ultralegerra wheels for $358 each. I bought BMW-spec wheels (5 on 120mm bolt pattern, 40 mm offset/6.57" backspace), these ones are for the rear fitment on a '08 Z4 roadster.
Up front I'm using a 1.063" thick adapter to give me the correct backspacing and to adapt the 120mm BMW wheel to the 120.65mm GM brake rotor, in the rear the axles will be drilled and studded for the 120mm pattern.
You can get them in a variety of painted finishes, bright silver, gold, matte graphite and black (like mine). A high-quality cast wheel (designed and made in Italy) that's lightweight, only 20.8 # for the 18X9 and 18.6# for the 18X8 size.
If you want a wheel with a wide or polished lip, these definitely aren't for you. If you're into painted wheels that can be cleaned up quickly with a wash mitt and don't require constant polishing to keep up, you might consider something like these.
245/40-18 fronts (25.7" tall).

Used to be "American" made but now they are just an cheap off-shore shadow of their former self, complete with ill-fitment,inferior materials that won't hold a shine over time, impossibly long build times and horrid customer service.Their quality is no where close to what it used to be.

Does this include the TT2's that everyone and their brother seem to have? They have a full line under Shelby's name, Earnhardt Jr. and own Weld & Boyd Coddington wheels as well. From their site about acquiring Weld - "Along with the brand, we added state of the art forged manufacturing capabilities based in Kansas City, MO., where we continue to produce the best in one-piece and multi-piece forged wheels." Maybe their lower end wheels are made elsewhere with their name on it but I searched on this site & on google and didn't find anything quite like what you described....

I'm not here to stop you from buying polished TT II's,if you want to be like everyone else, far be it from me to interfere.Like I explained earlier,if we're going to argue quality between US forged wheels versus off-shore Chinese wheels,I'm not willing to get involved.
I go back with American Racing to the 60's with the Torque-Thrust D and then later the 200S which were on my '70 Z when I bought it way back when.I recently just sold that set to a friend and he'll put them on his '69 Z/28.
The stories of quality control and customer service are out there,I distinctly remember one guy who purchased a set of AR Salt Flats and one was defective right at the valve stem and he was fed up with having to wait over a year for a replacement getting absolutely nowhere with AR.A friend of mine in AZ bought a set of polished 200S's and he received them in about 6 weeks...but the stories of much longer wait times are more the norm, more like hit and miss.
A much better choice,IMHO is the Vintage Wheel Works line...here you have a classic period-style wheel in sizes that actually fit our cars in terms of widths and b/spacing...and very, very affordable pricing.Jon Henson at www.driverzinc.com is currently offering deep discounts on their entire line before the Jan 1st price increase.
These are some of the best made wheels I own and both owners of the company are two of the nicest guys to deal with. The quality is evident and without question for a few extra dollars, there is no comparison to off-shore made wheels...and I refuse to run off-shore made wheels on classic American made iron.

I am installing baer 13" discs up front & am hoping not to encounter much problem in the front that I can't work out with a simple spacer if needed. you can check www.jdwheels.com for some pictures. i know he just did a 69 with a 18/20 combo. great guy, good prices, and super helpful. when i get my tires mounted i will post pictures of them on my impala. i went with chrome 18x8 front and 18x9.5 back and they look massive because of the lip design.

I loves me those boss wheels. I really like the subtle difference between the new Foose ones and these. The ridge that dissapears along the spoke just works better on the Boss version.
Im saving to buy me some. I'll be in touch Tim.

I canīt find any pictures of the 69 there, and i would prefer pictures on a 67-68 with 18x8 18x9,5,
From what i understand the 18x8 only exist in 4,5" BS with 4,75" boltpattern and the 18x9,5 only exist in 5" BS with 4,75" boltpattern?
This seems a little wide to me as I read that 8" wide in front 4,875-5 BS would be perfect.
And 9,5" wide in rear should have 5,5" BS.
Im aldo doing a drum to Ls1 disk conversion and this also makes the axle a little wider as the disks are thicker then the drums.
So I was woundering if these will fit my car with good clearanse??
The B/S on the Boss wheels wont work with your set up on a 67-68 Camaro. You will need to go with a custom wheel to get the correct B/S to fit your car with the brake conversion.
We will be happy to give you a quote on any of the Brands we carry.
Rushforth, Boze ,Budnik, Schott, Bonspeed
you wont find an inexpensive wheel that that will work on your car and fit right. If your Budget will only allow X amount of dollars right now. We offer a FREE Layaway on all our wheel lines.

The boss338 wheels are awsome, and the backspacing on the 18 and 20s combo look great. I purchased a set from jdwheels in black for my 69camaro and for the price they are selling for, you can't beat it, and they look way better than the Coys wheels. -Drum or disc brakes not much difference. Check out jdwheels' website and you will see a 69 camaro (finally after so long).

cant front... these look WAY better than coys and tt2s..
and cant beat the price.. the only downside is the lack of a 10 in the rear.

I agree. It might look a little better if the car was dropped an inch or so in the front and about 3 inches in back. IMHO anything bigger than 18 is too big on an F-body. Just my .02
there is a 20by10 coming out soon for camaros 6to 6 1/4 backspacing that will fit a 1969 camaro, that will fit a 275or 285 tire in the back. I have these rims in black, and my buddy has them in chrome. No comparison, black looks better and cheaper, this rim is beatiful.
my car is lowered in the back, so its stance looks better than that camaro, it looks like that car is not set up yet.needs lowering to do it justice

I have the grey Coys on my 69. They are 18X8 and 18X9.5. I love them, but I want to mini tub the car and put a 18X12 on the rear.
Why does Coys and Boss not make a 18X12?
The 20X12 looks goofy. My opinion anyway.

BTW... the standard 18X9.5" TT2/Coys (unsure of BS) can I move those to the front without clearance issues? I have Global West upper arms if that helps.
I want to move the rears to the front and put a 12" wheel on the rear.

Why does American Racing, Boss, or Coys not make a 18"X12" wheel for mini-tubed first generation Camaros?
You would think they would take advantage of that "common" wheel size for this trend.
boss rims, american racing, and coys, dont do custom sizes or custom backspacing, if they did, it would cost you $700-1000 per rim (for18x12). The reason you would go to these companies is pricing and you would get whats available. If you want minitub, you got to pay, to play.

We just released the styles you see on the website this month. We are also getting ready to release a couple three piece offers that have a much more old old school look to them then stuff like Forgeline or HRE.

For guys who aren't afraid of wheel spacers, OE Corvette wheels can be kind of cool. I used 1990 "sawblades" last summer, there
17x9.5 on all four corners with 255 and 275 40 17s. Sorry the
current picture is kind of dark but.... Now I have 17x9.5 fronts
with 255 40 17s and 17 x 11 rears with 315 35 17s .
These are the Corvette Grand sport replicas, and they were only
$429.00 for the set off e-bay BRAND NEW! Thats a low price of admission for and 11" wide wheel:yum: Word to yo momma.

I may be interested in a set of motorsports. 17x9 or 9.5 in front, 18x10/10.5 in back. What finishes do you offer? Could you PM pricing info?

I was thinking about going with these. They are made by MB motoring and are avaliable through Discount Tire Direct only. They have 17x8 and 17x9.5 in 1st gen Camaro fitment in Gray and Chrome. Again, on the Coy's TT2 sorta thing, but for $141.00, not so bad. I was thinking about painting the center a bronze color or perhaps gold to make 'em stand out a bit.
