I remember reading when the GTO came back about a company making a new Chevelle... I could swear the idea was they bought up a bunch of GTO's and they were doing some kind of kit to make it into a new Chevelle. The last I remember reading on it, was they scrapped the first design after a prototype was done, and went back to the drawing board.

Does anyone know what the hell I'm remembering?

I do remember it being done... although it was a one off at the time. I believe it got a run in a few mags as well. It wasn't perfect but did look good. If it was ever slated for production as a kit I must have missed it.

EDIT: Ok... it's worse than I remember. It was called the HRSS and looks like it was made out of an '05 GTO. The front is hideous, but the back I could live with.

I think that could be made to look pretty cool with some more tweaking on that front:sick::barf: .

I would rock one of those if the front end were different. That pointy sloping grill needs to have work done on it.

Yeah, that's it. The original plan was to have a short run done on them. I don't know if that ever happened or not.

IIRC they made two versions of it. The first one they didn't like the front end, and so they went back to the drawing board. I'm not sure which version you have in those pictures there.

Maybe they never got around to a second version.

There seems to be very little information available on the net. The company taking on the work apparently is no longer maintaining their web page, and/or went out of business, after asking an outrageous price for the kit and/or vehicle.

It was either Imagine Motorsports or Aloha Motorsports in Wisconsin.

It was either Imagine Motorsports or Aloha Motorsports in Wisconsin.

Both have been mentioned, but Aloha was the one that supposedly had the site where you could purchase.

I was just curious if they ever made the planned changes to it and what they did with it.

I thought the rear end had promise, if a bit exaggerated, and they got the window line fairly right, but the front end was a mess.
