Hi
I am restoring a 70 nova. I pulled the front clip off and the subframe. Cleaned and paint subframe and put it back on with spacers and new mount rubber bushings. Now I can't get fenders to match at the front of door. No matter what I do there is a 3/4 inch gap at bottom of fender and bottom of door. This is with original fenders and repop.
Any tips would be appreciated.
Thanks

It's pretty much fixed I finally made it over to his house sunday. The main problem now is that the left door has been sprung really bad. The skin needs to come off so I can help him straighten out the frame. It's either that or find a better used shell.

Mike thanks for the help. Its amazing how fast time flys when your into something. Put the passenger fender on and it is out at the top should I bring the door out?

Possibly but hang a hood first to check your gap there. Your fender may need some tweaking if the fender to hood gap is good. If you want we can posibly make some arrangements to trailer it to my house and do some of the fab work. Then you can take it home and finish up the body work. We could most likely finish most of the metal work up in a couple of weekends. It might be a little easier than hopefully not forgetting a really handy tool:lol: Yeah the wannabe boss was a little grouchy when I got home she got over it real quick soon as the grand daughter showed up. Let me know I have a car trailer. Btw the rod in your avatar looks damn nice for a first timer:cool:
