I just got married on Oct. 4th and we are going to Pigeon Forge for our honeymoon. We will be leaving tomorrow morning and are looking for ideas on places to see and good restaurants. We have a cabin that we will be staying at in Hayden's Ridge. Just lookng for suggestions on some things to do and also if there is any car related events going on from Oct. 14-21. I heard there is a car museum in the area.

The best attraction in town is Bill's Toy Box hands down.

Corvette Expo at the Sevierville County Exposition Center is this coming weekend. Lots of Corvettes and Muscle Cars in the fall show.

Also go see Floyd's Muscle Car Museum in Sevierville!

I would not say the toy box is the big attraction in the county, but you are welcomed to come by and see it. my cell is 8658508228
Like Mike said, Floyd Garrett's place is worth the admission for sure.
This is peak week for leave colors, so you will see some of the beauty of the area for sure. Gatlinburg has the number one aquirium(sp?) in the country, be sure and check that out if that interest you. Dollywood is still open in Pigeon Forge and great fall festival things going on there. Cades Cove is a good trip one day and you will see plenty of wildlife there. Just call if you want to get together.

The advice on the catfish is great Steve! We will definitely be going to all the mentioned sites. If there are any more ideas please post them also. We will be leaving tomorrow late in the morning.

Hey fried catfish done right is good. Catfish tends to be on the tougher side though that's why I say when done right. Enjoy the scenery. Th east coast mountains may not be as tall or as new as the Rockies but we've got great scenery all the same. Oh and congrats

I would recommend The Peddler restaurant in Gatlinburg for a good steak one night. The Hummer Tours are a fun trip did that last time we were up but plan on about 6 hours total or a little more. The Aquarium is worth seeing if you have never been in a Ripley's Aquarium. Cherokee Casino is just over the ridge seems like it was about an hour to get there. Gatlinburg is a great little town to walk. The Magic Show was pretty good when we went to it a couple years back. Dixie Stampede is a good show my kids did the chicken race in it last trip, has some good food. If you play golf the Gatlinburg CC in Pigeon Forge is a nice little course has a really cool par 3 on the back nine. Hit some of the scenic roads with the leaves changing, if you get a chance ride the Blue Ridge Parkway some. I definitely recommend getting directions from someone local or using a map in conjuction with your nav. The nav will send you down some backwoods, two rut, one lane twisty roads that you will swear you are on a never ending driveway to HELL... Enjoy your trip its a great place to go hang out with your wife.

Well we arrived back in Wisconsin 2 days ago now. The trip home was uneventful for the most part. We were pulled over in Kentucky for speeding. I was doing 55 in a 70. The ticket was only $30.00 for the actual violation, but there is a $140.00 court and filing fee.:guilty:
I would like to thank Bill for opening his doors and welcoming us to his place. It was nice to finally meet someone from this forum. The garage is one of the nicest I have seen yet. I really enjoyed the cars that were there. Bill's Charger is coming along very nicely and has some excellent fab work done on the suspension. While we were there Bill had his Charger, Billygoat, the Fastlane Fairlane and Yancy's Poison Dart fresh from a road trip in the garage(s). I am now trying to convince the wife that we need to build up on our garage, so we can add a man room upstairs like Bill has.:enguard:We went to Cades Cove, Dixie Stampede, Cirque de Chine, Floyd Garretts, The Old Mill and many other places in Pigeon Forge. We went to Gatlinburg for a day and went to Ripley's Aquariam (well worth the price of $23.00), Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., and The Peddler for dinner was great. Once again thanks to Bill for the warm welcome and everyone else for suggestions.

Oh yeah almost forgot...........we stopped at Pop's Catfish and didn't end up in pain. LOL.

Great to meet you and the Mrs Brandon. Glad you liked the area and hopefully we will see you both here in September for RTTH5.
Looks like you got a good woman there, she seems to be warming up to a new shop and has already said you can come back as long as she can shop....what else could a man want....hehe
