Well after 8 years in storage I finally decided it was time to bring the Nova home. The last time I worked on it I had it blasted twice (both jobs sucked), sent out all the moldings (in which all the important pieces were taken by the chromer who suddenly went out of business and disappeared), built a small block 406 (which I had to sell) & so on & so on.
Everything that could go wrong at the time DID. So I hung it up for awhile. Eventually family life intervened (2 girls 6 & 3) and I bought a house. After seeing some of the Novas being built by some of the members a spark was lit. I will say Bruce Hedricks Nova is what really got me going again. So I brought it home and will give it another try. Its not in the best shape after all this time but its all there and its mine.

Talk to him! Somehow, he seems to make it work!

I too have my Nova at IRONWORKS...... I love their work! John's Nova, as well as my Nova, are on a specific, highly tuned, plan..... NOT!

Serioulsy though, Rodger told me the other day that he is developing components for Novas! These components will, I believe, include tubs, suspension components, etc. Stay tuned.

Here is my Nova as of Saturday:

I've been watching your Nova as well as Johns. I wish I could add mine to that lineup.

Why would you take it to ironworks? He has never finished a customers car as of yet. Years of work and the only completed thing out of his shop is his personal truck. Good luck.

Are you sure they haven't finished "any" cars.
I looked on their website and it looks like a lot of customer cars.
It just seems like they would have finished some of them.
I'm not saying you're wrong , but can you prove this ??

You're not disgruntled and saying this for personal reasons , are you ??

Sounds like huggero has some issues to work out with Ironworks. Please save the drama for a thread of your own. Or handle it in a private matter.

Questions like these are very valid. But define finishing a car for a customer. We are a fab shop that can do a turn key build if so desired. But alot of customers have us do the fabrication for a certain aspect of their build ( Rollcage, Chassis fab or mods, Sheetmetal work, any thing custom fabricated ) then they take the car home and finish the aspects of the build they can handle in their own garage. We also do alot of fab work for other builders who can not handle the fab work we are can. We do what we were hired to do, small or large, a complete build or just one aspect. Do I have some unfinished projects in my shop? Yes I do. Are any of those customers unhappy with anything we have done or not done? Not that I know of. I can say the Economy has affected every customer in my shop, just like every other shop in the country. Some customers have stopped all together and some have just slowed down. But we have actually been very busy with alot of projects in the works. I just read this morning that Unemployment is 17% in Kern county and in an economy like this I think that says alot about the work we do.

ENOUGH of the BS, Now for some Nova project updates.

Eric's nova has lived on the ground for a few months.

And Darrels Tube chassis 67 lives on the ground. We are starting on the interior and exterior body mods.

Not Pro-Touring, But still a very bad ass nova with a Blown Hemi.
