I had so many questions I forgot to introduce myself here.

Long time pontiac fan, but I'll drive just about anything that is fun.

I recently bought a '72 firebird formula roller, that I'd like to do in a vintage Trans-Am series / pro-touring style. I'm not looking for the extreme air-bags and 19" wheels, but a little modernization is ok.

My plan is this

'98 LS1 w/ T-56 (have it on the garage floor)
upgraded suspension, incl. springs, shocks, sway bars, upper control arms, G-braces (if possible)
Vintage Wheel Works V48 17x8, 17x9
and a few other things, but those are the big ones.

The car already has a 8pt. cage, 3.55 posi and an original Ram Air hood.

Welcome! Post up some pics of your Formula if you can. Sounds like you're going to build something similar to my car. (except I'm still running a Pontiac drivetrain) I didn't plan mine, it just sort of evolved over the years.
