Okay, cars almost completed but I feel the front of the vehicle needs to be lowered some more. To date the front consist of 2" lowering springs with 18 x 8" wheels along with a 245/40/18 tire. The front fenders seem pretty close to the tire but I would like to bring it down some more.
FYI the springs on the front are new, about 5 days old. Will they settle some more as I drive it?

Need some help....

Jim, What control arms and springs did you use? You need to drop a good 2" or even more for the look you want. Also, if you put some begative camber in it you wont have any rub issues.

Oh Yeah, look fricken awesome!

Not a mechanic here, but a fellow Pro-Touring member with a 69 Camaro used aluminum sub-frame bushings that were slightly thinner than stock rubber bushings.....lowered the car just enough to look right......gave his car a great stance........just a thought.

I have to say that is one of the best looking 69 Camaros' I have seen in along time. Great design and execution!:twothumbs

Nevr thought I liked Green! MAN O MAN! Absolutely beautiful!

You could put in the aluminum bushings but I hear it kills the ride... I ordered them for a '79 I was plyaing with but never got around to installing them..

The origianl front end never came down enough for me so we decided to installer upper and lower control arms from DSE. Dropped it about 2.5". The stance is much better I think. Also added a DSE front sway bar.

No rubbing when I turn right but if I make a hard left it rubs just a bit...

I'm guessing it wasn't the control arms, but because they have the adjustable coil-overs, that's how he got the drop he wanted.

The DSE arms have a lowered spring pocket.

Looks great Jim

Thanks Frank, Do alot of guys go this route for lowering? I have the DSE 2'' droped front springs and the 3'' rear leafs do you think going w/ the dse lowers would be to much drop?

The stance is perfect now.. before it was way too high.

Looks like a car we would want to shoot :)

Nice work Jim, it's nice to see a green car since I feel it doesn't get enough love.
