Any one have and experience with this machine or similar? Ok for a home shop or will I regret it 6 months after I buy it because its junk.

Max metal thickness is 20ga for a car thats pretty thin.

They have other models. That was just an example. The one I am looking at is good for 16ga. I don't have a lot of space so it looks like it would be great for me.

Most of the sheet metal on older cars is 20 to 22 ga.I've looked at those particular contraptions and think there kinda cheesy myself.Just my .02

You are right. I looked at one in person that was for sale on craigslist. I didn't like it at all.

As a note, that greater the capacity, the easier it will shear, bend, or roll the thinner stuff. You don't want to put it to capacity with every use.

i use one often it is the larger one from harbor freight. once you get it adjusted in it works suprisingly well. but i dont think you want to run production with it but for home shop i think it would be fine. the parts i make on it go to support the war fighter. just goes to show you that the military doesnt need $1500 hammers lol.
