Took my oldest son to the show today. He loves Texas Motor Speedway. He would go to a bake sale if it was there. Anyway, I met Bret from AirRide. Very nice guy and let me say this...the Velocity Camaro is wicked fast. He took me for a ride on the AutoX. It pulled hard all the way thru the coarse. My son wanted to ride but you have to be 18 to be able to. I thought I was going to have a fight on my hands, lol. He was satisfied though when he was able to drive the Toyota NASCAR simulator. The Goodguys give away car "SuperNova" is super fast as well.
Although I only took 2 pics we still had a great time talking with with Bret and the AirRide folks, Kyle and Stacy Tucker and I also met Freddiecougar (username on Lat-G) form Chassisworks. This hobby is full of great people and I enjoy going and meeting and talking with them:twothumbs

I was also at Goodguys in Fort Worth. I got to ride along for two laps in four vendor cars in the autocross - DSE's 1969 camaro (Stacey's) and all three of the Air Ride cars that were there. Everyone was very nice, especially the folks at Air Ride. Bret really knows how mash the gas hard followed by equally firm pressure on the brake. On Friday Bret took a cone in the custom chin spoiler of Velocity that did a lot of damage.

I will try to figure out how to post the pictures or I can email them to someone how can post them here.

If you don't already have one sign up for a free photobucket account.

Then it will ask you to choose files you want to upload

Once done click on the 4th option under the image which will copy it. It is called IMG code.

Open a post here right click your mouse and paste it.

I was there watching @ the final runs late Sat afternoon when the ART 66 Chevelle gernaded its sbc @ the end of the course. I heard a bunch of crunching going on & thought "that can't be good" & by the time I walked about 10ft. it poked a hole in the oil pan.

That definitely ended the runs w/a bang! ART sure puts on a heck of a show for us. Hhmm.... maybe that wasn't planned lol!

I went Friday and went for a couple of rides with the DSE guys. I had such fun I went back on Sat. I went looking for a street rod and after Friday I was looking for a Pro Touring on Sat.

Thanks for the cool pictures of my Camaro! I told everyone that the damage on the splitter would "buff out". I lied. It will now become a trophy on the wall and we will build a new one for SEMA. I'm suprised it took this long to kill it.
I'd love to offer some serious technical reason why I ran over the finish line marker but the real story is...I missed the damn brake pedal. Just flat out missed it. The car turned fine at 20mph. It didn't turn so well at 30.
We'll have it back together for SEMA. It will be in our booth there to debut the TigerCage. It will also participate in the Ultimate Street Car Invitational on the Saturday after SEMA at Spring Mountain. CAN'T WAIT!

Oh, yea...the Chevelle? Dead player. Real dead. We had been running that 383 since the spring of 2006. I'm gonna have it bronzed!

Yes, a Jasper Engines 420 horse 383. It ran great right up until...it didn't. I'm either going to have then build a duplicate or maybe go with an LS engine. I got a LOT of use out of that engine. It was well maintained, but it also had a 7000rpm chip in it. The next one may have a 6500 chip:).

I was glad to see the Camaro & give-away Nova were ran as hard @ TX Motor Speedway as they were @ RTTH's event. I'm sure that Chevelle has blipped that rev limiter more than a few times  .
