Will they fit?

I have a 1971 Malibu with Hotchkis 1 inch lowering springs (500 lb). I found some 18 x 9.5" rims with only five inches of backspacing for pretty cheap. But will they rub?

If you have any first hand experience with this please help.

At all four corners? The backs might clear fine, but the fronts will rub. I've got 18x8's up front with around 5" of backspacing and they rub pretty bad, even with 1.5" adapters. The rear 18x9's fit fine with no adapters or spacers of any kind.

Thank You for replying. Actually the fronts are 18 x 8 with 4 inches of BS, which I wasn't worried about.....until your post. You have 1.5" spacers on a 5 " BS 18 x 8 and they still rub? where do they contact?

Actually I'm not positive on the backspacing, but I can measure to be sure. The wheels hit the frame so I can't make sharp turns. My car has the turning radius of a big rig with a 40 foot trailer. :guilty:
