In almost any pic of the interior, especially the nearly finished ones on the first page, you can see the brace that goes from side to side and it even incorporates the shifter mount. Does that brace connect to the subframe? Is it just formed sheet metal or did they use rectangle stock and put it in like a subframe? I remember reading about doing this a long time ago on Twister but can't see any detail pics for this car. I also haven't seen anyone do this to their own car. I'm thinking I should do it to my 79 once I get around to building the car. Thanks

Thanks John. I see it doubles as a brace as well. I'm guessing it either welds to the rear legs of the subframe or the subframe connectors. I'm sure I can do something similar with my TA.
