I am looking at at these rims:

2006+ C6 corvette wheels (OEM) Front 18 x 8.5, Rear 19 x 10

2 Front Wheels: 18x8½", 5 lug on 4.75", 56mm Offset

2 Rear Wheels: 19x10", 5 lug on 4.75", 79mm Offset

Car: 68 GTO (stock , not rolled fenders)
ATS AFX tall spindles
C5 calipers w/o corvette name on the front, rotors and pads
tire size 225/40/18 or ??

I can not figure what 79mm offset translates to as this site only goes to 65mm. http://www.rims-n-tires.com/info_specs

Will they fit ??

The front 56mm translates to 6.9" backspacing, 5.5" backspacing is normal for the front?

I think that I will need a 2" spacer in the front, not sure about the rear ??

I don't have access to the car. I have the C5 templates but not the rims to determine fitment.

Thanks

Just a quick guess, You'll need at least 2" spacers on all 4 corners.

I'm using 2" spacer/adapters on my Nova with 17x9 Camaro SS wheels.

There's a good current thread about this exact topic if you scroll down the page: https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/showthread.php?t=42366&page=2

Keep in mind that the C5/C6 front rotors have ~.300" thick hats and the rears are .240"-.280" depending on whether you choose C5, C6, C6 Z51 or C6 Z06. FYI, the backspacing of the 19x10 rear wheel with the 79mm offset is ~8.7".

The tire size you specified is small IMHO relative to the size of your car. I've got these on a Nova with OE C6 sized rubber, 245/40R18 and 285/30R19, and they're just under 26" tall and look about right given the stance, but I'd bet that they'd look small on your car.

You really need to measure the wheel mounting to wheel mounting distance of your rear axel before you order your spacers. The stock wheel well will take that rear rim, but you need the right size spacer. Also measure from the wheel mounting surface on the rear end to the frame and wheel lip on both sides. You don't want a surprise that one fits and the other does not.

I am glad I measured mine - it is narrower than a 68 A body is supposed to be. Thats cool I get to run a deeper dish.

Ok, I read that 3" spacers were used in the rear.

I plan in trying to keep everything C5, the calipers and rotors.
I don't have the rear setup yet, I need to get the brackets made.

I am not sure on the tire size, what overall size should I look for?
Should I try to have the overall height around 26" and 27" ?

thanks

The one thing I have going for me it that I replaced the rear and all the associated suspension components, not that I had a choice.

So the new rear is now centered...

I still have to get the brackets to mount up the C5 calipers , rotors ect..

I was a little concerned because I did not tell the body guy to roll the lip when he did the quarter panels.

Thanks
