Great guy. been watching tributes to him today. Being motor heads we all know about his automotive related stuff, But he was very charitable also, for example all the profits from his salad dressing went to charity.
Great guy and sorely missed
RIP
Just found out about this. RIP paul

Saw it in the paper this morning. At least God has a race buddy who makes good dressings for salad. RIP Paul.

Rest well; he was actually up at Lime Rock here a couple times in August. (very much his home track) They closed the place down later in Aug for around 90 minutes for him to go out and do some laps. Everyone I know who worked with him only had good to say, a class act all the way.
"Sometimes nothin' is a mighty cool hand".......RIP Paul.

He opened a bunch of camps for sick kids ("Hole in the Wall" camps), which is what he wanted to be remember for.
He was a great man in many ways.

I've been a little creeped out all weekend.
My girlfriend and I watched The Hustler on Friday night then found out
he died on Saturday.

He seemed like a very good man.
And until a few years ago , I never realized what a racer he was !
He was a very admirable person.
RIP Paul.

A great racer, actor, and human. Hollywood lost a legend and the world lost a good soul. (Hollywood needs all the good souls it can get too)
Thanks for the time with us Paul.

I saw him years ago when he was a younger man. He was asked after he raced, if he'd give out some awards to the SCCA workers. After all the crowd had gone home, he stayed and had a great time handing out the awards and made it a fun event. A really nice guy who back then was mobbed everywhere he went at the track.
RIP P.L. Newman

Paul did some great work in his lifetime. He definitely left a mark and an impression.
Plus I'm eating a delicious salad from McD's with his salad dressing right now. Good stuff!
