newbie to the lsx technology. I have acquired a car with a lsx/t56 combo. the driver side head has a port at the very back that i can see a little vapor or smoke coming out of when engine is running. what is it, and what should i put on it.

It might be the steam vent line runinng under your intake. This attaches to both heads then your throttle body then to your radiator. Is this where you are seeing it come from?

i'm not home, but the port? stands up 90 degrees and looks like it should have a hose connected to it.

Oh on the valve cover? Like where my duct tape is in the pic? That's your PCV (Positive crankcase ventialtion) hook up. The PCV valve goes in there and that goes to your throttle body ( i think if i rember right)

To be honest im not even sure it does go to the throttle body. I THINK it does on these engines. See i converted mine to carbureted so i am not sure. I ran mine to the back of my carb haha. There should be a check valve in the fitting, it might me a 90 degrees fitting or 180 degree fitting.
