Wish me luck, in 4 hours, I will be a married man. Any tips? lol
Just got done getting everything set up, mom and some of her friends are heating up the food:spam:, and I'm waiting a little bit to get ready. Today is just flying by, and haven't gotten the butterflies yet, lucky?
Im going to be stuffing the bride in my Nova, then doing a "little" burnout when leaving.:6gears: Hope the city doesn't mind, as the ceremony and reception are at a city park.
Anyways, gotta run. Hope nothing goes too terrible! See you on the other side!

Oh man that day is just a blur for me...
I goes by so fast, I didn't even get to eat any of the food we paid so much for. I didn't even have enough time to spare to get drunk, just a few sips of beer here & there.
Only tip is try to do something to make it memorable, I surprised my wife by singing a song to her w/ a friend playing acoustic guitar (I can't sing) but, she loved it! It was her favorite part of the day....
Good Luck!

I did manage to eat my food. We had a specialty coffee bar that made all kinds of coffee drinks, and that cost a lot too, and neither of us had any of that. The one thing I really regret was not being able to make the rounds and thank everyone for coming. The MC rushed things a little too much. Do as many little weekend trips as you can together. Kids will come too fast and then you'll be asking why you didn't. Enjoy the ride!:bananna2: I am!

Hey, congratulations! As for advice, just relax and enjoy your bride and your families and don't get upset if anything goes wrong - that'll only sharpen your memories of the big day and make for better stories down the road.

Well, everything went according to plan, sort of. We had our little cake fight, she got it into my right nasal cavity; got a killer headache from it! Not to much family drama, our families don't get along the best; her side treats her like crap, and my side hates them for it.
I have some pictures that my friend took, they aren't very good; but he ran home and had them on a dvd for us to look at in 20min. I will have more friend pictures and pro. pictures in the coming days.

Congratulations, Hopefully your married years will be as enjoyable as my last 35 soon to be 36 have been. I have been a lucky man, my wife (Kathy) takes part in all my projects and even helps out pulling engines and trans. Seeing your Nova brought back some memories as our getaway car was a 1970 396/350 Nova SS back then ....that I bought new in 70 for $3917.
Good Luck,

Congrats, I just tied the knot nearly 3 months ago. I did an awesome burnout in a winery that scared everyone but me:drive1: , though my nova was not as decorated as yours. My tip: Drive Nova daily and claim it needs "improvements" to get better mileage...

Big time Congrats!!!!!
Don't listen to the whiners, they're just ticked that someone else might get it right. Getting hitched was the single best thing I/we have ever done! We've been married 7 years, and I LOVE it!!!!
As for advice, two books come to mind.
Love and Respect: it comes from a Christian perspective, but even if you aren't an active Christian, or even Christian at all for that matter, it gives a lot of insight as to why we can tick each other off so much without even trying. Great book that definitely helped a good marriage get better.
Any book by John Gottman: He's been studying relationships for something like 20 years and his insights are fantastic!
Remember, marriage takes hard work and lots of care and feeding. It always amazes me when guys will spend countless hours and unbelievable amounts of money on the care and maintenance of a car, but think that the wedding was the last time they had to do anything to keep their marriage healthy!
Best of luck to you and your wife!!!! Keep working at it and you will find that you have started a journey that will be the ride of your life!!!
Shiny Side Up!

Sandra actually really likes burnouts. She turned around and was like "that's a lot of smoke!, you can smell it too!". And then I did a little powerslide around the next corner, you can kind of hear it in the background.
Sandra and I have been together for 6 years in December, We started dating when I was 16 and she was 15. My first, only and last; I know cheesy, but true. This just makes what we are legal.
Thank you guys for the insight, I have a feeling that this relationship won't take too much work. It hasn't so far!

Congratulations to you both!
Remember this, Marriage not only makes you legal, but is a commitment you have made to each other before God and your family. When both people remember this, and act accordingly, your lives together will be Peaceful and blessed.
I met you both a couple months back, at Angeles crest. You two seem great together! I wish you both well.
Remember, marriage takes hard work and lots of care and feeding.
All true!
However, if you pick your mate carefully from the beginning, it all comes so much easier.
Also, if anyone is interested, check out The proper care and feeding of marriage by Dr. Laura.

It looks like you found the right one right off the batt! It took me a little while but have been married 6 yrs(dated for 4 before that). Don't kid yourself, it takes work! Especially going through your 20's. If you plan on having kids that makes things interesting! Respect yourself, respect her. You will have your battles but step back and work your way through it. Don't sell your toys! Worked for me.

Thats GREAT>>>>>>
Just got back from our 5yr anniversary (oct 4th) and we also found out that we are having a boy :)
Honestly, its great and I wouldn’t do anything different. I dated my wife, Katie since high school thru college and then we got married.
3 things and they are very true.....
If it has boobs or tires its going to cost you money. You arent going to belive all the stuff girls want that you didn’t think about. Kind of like bringing that new project car into the shop and stripping it down for the first time, they are full of expensive surprises you didn’t count on...
Second,
Every time you "got it" in the past you need to put a Jelly bean in a jar. After your married, that’s how much you are going to get for ever. Use your Jelly beans wisely...hint, keep putting them in the jar for the first 3 months, you will thank me later :)
Third and pay attention to this.....
Its only as hard as YOU make it !!! Love only goes so far, its more work than most are willing to put into it....
