Just found this forum and thought I would post some pics of my Fastback. Some quick specs. 17 and 18 inch Boyd's. Heidts front end. Rack and pinion steering. 4 wheel disc. Weber carbed 302. Original 4 speed toploader. 8" traction lock with 3.80 gears. Sinful Cinnamon paint from Dupont Hot Hues.

Always nice to see another Stang join. Love the color....
So how do you like the Heidts? Do you feel it's strong enough? How about with an engine producing 600hp? The knock on the MII front ends is how well they hold up structually with big HP. I want to clean up my engine bay and do away with the towers - but am afraid of losing integrity and strength.
WELCOME!

Love the webbers also... Check out Roush - I really dig the 511RFE (FE series)

Great mustang. What kind of seats are those?

way cool - glad you did away with the shock towers - the front end is so much cleaner without them.
how do you like the hood springs?

Thanks for the great comments. As for the horsepower question I don't feel the front end has lost any integrity with the heidts install. The crossmember is definitely more rigid than the materials I removed and I feel that the front end flexes less now than with the stock front end. I also built my own subframe connectors which helped the front end strength. The seats are Summit racing brand and the best bang for the buck I have found. I don't understand the question on the hood springs. I switched out springs designed for a fiberglass hood which are fine if that is the question. Here are a couple pics of the front end during construction to show how well everything ties together.https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=26302&stc=1&d=1222827736

yes - I was just asking if you liked them and if they worked well (hood springs - > hinge brackets)
On stiffness - you can put in a radiator oval roll bar at the front that ties into the 2 front frame rails and then tie them back through the wheel wells and front firewall on each side to a roll cage. it will make the car like a go cart.
