So now that I got my car on the rotisserie and can have a good look at the underside, I noticed that both front leaf spring perches/mounts or what ever you want to call them have been welded in at the front. Obviously someone broke one of the bolts or the eye brackets. Do you think I'm better off leaving as is and adding more welds for extra strength and get rid of the bolts all together, or try and cut the welds and put new bolts in. I'm thinking about trying to cut the driver's side free and atleast put it straight. Here's some pics of where I mean:

Same thing happening on my passenger side to two of the bolts. The rust on mine doesn't look as bad and the weld not as much as yours - I am going to grind them off. Already have new perches from Lutty's - they're cheap and I will be much happier that they are new and done properly - as great as your car is looking I wouldn't want that bugging me. I would grind them off and see if its structurally ok back there and then replace with new.

Thanks. I think I am going to give Lutty's a call and get the new ones. I'm going this far, might as well not cheap out for something this small. Thanks again.
