I need to buy 2 18 x 10 or 18 x 9 (they are going to be widened anyway) aluminum wheel hoops as I am working with Weldcraft to make a pair of Minilite style 18" rear wheels, anyone know where I can purchase them? you think someone like american racing will sell me a pair of hoops?

Might want to try Phil Schmidt (PS Engineering) In Torrance CA (He makes a 17" Minilite replica- see my Fquick Garage).

I have 17" minilites from VWW, but really want a 18" for the rear for tire size requirements (need a 27" tall tire on a 11/12" rim). I'll keep the 17" rears for track use.
So need to find a pair of 18" hoops.

Yeah, had seen the superlite wheels, dont like the 3 piece look, want a more vintage look, with the "as cast spokes" and no bolt heads around the inside.
Looks like Vintage Wheel Works can get me an 18" hoop aswell...will keep posting updates of the project once i get started.

That's interesting since they don't even offer their wheels in 18's...yet.
Please post up some more pics of that beautiful car Nick...:worship:

Well they can get the hoops (they are an outside manufactured item), they just dont have centers for them. According to Eli 18" will be coming sometime early next year, but the V48 model will not be one of them.
So gonna make my own!
