Hello all, I am new to this site and had some questions. My car will be back from the metal man soon and I want to start putting together some parts. I will be going the Air Ride route and just bought a full set of StrongArms and should have my shockwaves soon. I'm building my '56 Belair 2 door Hardtop currently.
I have been looking and looking but all I see for large brake kits are for the Nova, Camaro etc guys.
I was hoping to run a 14" front rotor setup and hopefully on the stock drum spindles if possible. I'm wanting to avoid widening the track width if at all possible.
Thanks!
Dan

So far it appears there aren't too many big brake kits for my car because of the spindle design. That just sucks.

Might have to go with something like this if you really want brakes...

Danchuk Sells a 13" kit that will fit the stock spindles, I believe it's made by Baer and one by CPP, but they will move the wheels out about 1/8"-1/4" . As for 14" rotors, I don't know of any yet. As for the rear they have kits up to 12"

Search can't find the "cheap big brakes" posts that I know are on here somewhere or I'd link, but my plan was inspired by someone else did with their Nova. My plan is A or B body hubs to convert to roller bearings, C4 or C5 12" rotors, and late GM full size pickup/SUV calipers. I'll have to make my own brackets because this combo is not in the commercial marketplace. I haven't narrowed it down to a single hub/rotor combo because the wheel mounting flanges and hat heights differ and I'll have to do some figuring to determine which combo will result in best wheel placement and easiest caliper bracket construction.

I have one, and only one, Wilwood kit and spindle set up that is 14" (6) piston. It does widen the track almost 1". If you are interested, give me a call.
