Man those guys are getting lazy. :rolleyes5

Anyone else remember that same cover from a few years back? I know for a fact it's been used before. I'm pretty sure it was Hot Rod. I'd just have to go find my copy. Shame on them....

Ya think?

I will check it out when I get to work today.. CHP is just down the hall. I doubt that they used the same cover though.. we AGONIZE over the cover since it has been shown to either increase or decrease sales by quite a bit.

Will let ya know.. Maybe your just having a Deja-vu moment? ;)

Unless I'm confusing it with an inside cover story. But I know for a fact I've seen that picture before. I'll go look for is soon.

It was a vintage picture they called it. I have the magazine that cover shot is on the inside of.

I noticed that "vintage image".

I guess they re-used their own picture.

I thought he meant they used the exact same cover.. I could see them re-using an inside image, although it's strange..

I can't imagine us doing that..

Did you know that they re-used the exploding bird of prey from Star Trek 6 in Star Trek: Generations?? Not THAT was shamefull..

But I did remember them re-using it, ;-) .

The image must of made an impression on me.

Do the carbs have dual needle & seat float bowls? If so that picture's almost ten years old and a former Hot Rod cover shot.

Yep, it is a re-use..

The story I heard was the rain here killed their two cover shoots they had so this was the "easy" way out...

Johnny would rather gouge he eyes out than re-use a shot on the cover..

Just shoot something in a garage, you can get creative with lighting and make a good shot. You can't get away with that with people like this guy running around.

Trust me that the editor of CHP is getting a lot of grief over this..

Covers are serious business here.. we have meetings JUST about how to lay them out and what sells..

i remember last year picking up a MM&FF mag and thiking hey that bikini on the girl looks familiar and so does the concrete and beach setting the car was on. sure enough the month before GMHTP had ronnie dukes' TA on the cover and it must have been parked just out of view of the Stang on the cover of MM&FF. now i was left wondering if the two models had to share one bikini or was it two different but identical bikinis.

and if anyone cares to know the story behind that camaro in the owned pic go to www.frrax.com the person in that car posts there and has explained what happened before. the cars still being raced and received fairly minor damage for what it went through that day

CHP has been in a bad decline for the last 6 or so months.
How many times can they print an article about tuning a Holley carb.
I think it's time for some changes over there.

BIG TIME It's been going down hill at a record speed ever since Jeff Smith left. Hey Ro ....... the title is CHEVY High Performance ....... not "Watered Down Hot Rod For The Pre-Teen Beginner"
I've been kicking my own ass for renewing my subscription every time I get a new issue. Each issue is dumbed down more than the previous.

Steve, I think I may have found a misprint in the current PHR. On the 20 must have parts, there is a MSD distributor listed as part #8394, with a price of $280. It looked like a good deal to me for all the options it has, but when I checked summit, they list it as $375. :poke:
