Hey guys whats up? Heres my problem. Last weekend I noticed my fuel tank leaking at what I thought was the fittings at the tank. I dropped the tank and removed the fuel pickup so I could attach a better fitting. After replacing the fittings and plumbing a new fuel return into the tank I re installed the tank. Now the car wont start!! When I turn the key I can hear the pump running for a few seconds then it stops after it pressurizes the fuel rail. when I try to start the car it sounds like it wants to start but cant and doesnt. Any suggestions??? I forgot I also removed the battery for charging. Maybe that has something to do with it???

what did you change on the fuel return? What size feed line, what size return?

all i did was change the location of the return on the tank and replaced the -AN fitting on the end of the fuel line at the tank. I already have about 2000 100% trouble free miles on the setup so I am pretty sure that its not the size of the lines thats causing the issue. But now I have a bigger problem. Now it doesnt seem like I'm getting any spark.

You sure you're getting gas?

You need to verify your getting gas and spark. Pull a plug and if it's wet your probably not getting spark. Verify with a spark tester. If it's fuel injected you should have a pressure port. If you have fuel pressure and spark then you need to check your injector pulse width to make sure you brain is triggering your injectors. Also, if you changed your return from top to bottom that could affect your pressure at the injectors.

Yeah I am pretty sure I am getting gas. When I turn on the ignition I can hear the pump go on for a second or two. Then I checked the pressure in the fuel rail and its pretty much steady at 40lbs. The plugs could be fouled though. When I turn the key the engin turns over but thats it no popping or stumbling like it wants to fire. Thanks

Ok something new. I just removed #1 plug and it was pretty wet with gas. I wiped it down and checked for spark. It has spark. Only this time when I turned the key the engine sputtered but still didnt start. Anyone?

Screw new plugs in it. Once they are fouled sometimes they never fire again due to the spark jumping to ground.
