I was wondering if an LS3 engine can be overbored to 4.125 ?
The factory finish bore is 4.065 .
So that would be .060 overbored.

So , my detailed question would be , can you overbore the stock sleeves that far or do you have to re-sleeve the block ???

I have a customer that wants to bore and stroke an LS3 .
My guess is he's going for a 427 cui.
I didn't know the answer so I thought I might try here.

Not sure on the boring part but if I remember correctly you can use a 4.1" stroke to get to the 427 on a stock bore.

yes, a 4.1" stroke on stock bore will make 427 cubes
