REALLY...I have seen this one only.
Ours will be a street car though and built in a way to show you dont have to have big bucks to have a sweet high profile car . Our graphics will be a closer representation to the originals.
Scotts car is sweet , I have spoke to him and He loves it .

Its funny,Jason and I were just talking about this at RTTH.We were discussing how you try to do something fresh,do a rendering, and your almost scared to show it to anyone, because the market will be flooded with many different versions of the same theme.I've got a 68 which is ready to spray, and I can't come up with a paint sceme that I will think fresh enough. You've got to love the Sunoco car though,it was the father of all the pro touring Camaros we see today.Ron

I wouldn't care if all camaros were sunoco clone cars, its a car that ( at least in my mind, never gets old or not cool) its the ultimate in Badass technology. HAHA.

thats the thing... i dont mind if they use my ideas..
BUT.. not when they look at a BUILD THREAD and copy the idea before the poor guy can finish doing it himself!
but for the most part those things make the scene grow.. but damn have the deicency to let the man shine who came up with a good idea.. look at the Twist camaro.. when it came out with the adjustable wing. look at how things are now.. theres quite a few with that look.
and i recognize he brought that idea to the table and was awesome.
(if he wasnt the first then he made it the best)
a good idea is a good idea.. but be original.. some of the big money builders know what im talking about... you need to stop biting.
dont get me wrong.. most are leading the way as far as ideas.. but theres some suspect stuff i saw over the last couple of years.
MY ideas werent stolen.. and ive gotten good ideas from folks on here.. but ive noticed some moments from watching.
hold your cards some.. at least til your about done.
you dig?

We don't worry about hiding stuff but it has bite us no doubt. We render the Trans Am with big snowflakes, all of a sudden big snow flakes are out. We render a 69 TA and all of a sudden another almost duplicate is out and claimed to be the first one even though it is not even started before our car debuts at SEMA. The Prodigy Bar Roll Bar............been copied a few times but everyone Fs it up. One 69 Trans Am even has a very similar roll bar and construction. We were kind enough to post the pics of how the bar is built so they could see exactly how it is done.
I was told some years ago Plagiarism is the purest form of flattery. And now I believe it!

Where do I find the build thread on this car? I like the vintage trans-am look on pro-touring cars. Yellow wheels would be different. Can any one photochop yellow wheels on this car? I am having my 72' chevelle numbered and lettered like a old racecar in a few weeks. I like your clone big x!!

I have seen a few pix of this car and read a bit about it. Seems sweet and unique.

Year One Camaro looks kick ass .... but just not quite as kick ass as the Challenger. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPmGRd9sJdI&feature=related ... mama. The Sunoco thing is awesome. I voted for black wheels but I won't have any trouble loving the yellow wheels. Only thing is that I'm not sure about those wheels in yellow.
SaturnVUEguy
09-24-2008, 08:08 AM
I voted for black centers, just because I'm not sure how those wheels would look in yellow. Use a minilite-esque design and yellow would be perfect
Vegas69
09-24-2008, 08:26 AM
I voted yellow, but I bet you bought three piece wheels so those could be changed anytime.
I voted yellow but more something like a goldish yellow like this wheel color I did for BOB.

VERY nice rendering.
The current wheels are black, if they are used we wont be doing them in yellow. I dont think it will look right.
If yellow it will most likely be a ForgeLine or HRE, or mini lite style.

sorry for the late reaction on this topic :
i know its wrong to plain copy other peoples stuff if it impact there busness ( unless the service aftersales of that companie sucks ), on the other end : i'm here on the forum to get inspiration for my own project and allready seen things people have done to / or will use on there cars .
pay close atention on the fact i mention 1 car wish will hardly have concequenses on sales .
its better to copy a good idea or actually buy the kit from the one making it than try to come up with sumtin new that whont work as good .
i'm allso not someone who go prancing around like a peacock saying it was my own design but give credit to the inventor or originator of the design so eventually customers will apear at the right place

Fist off Props to Brooklyn..
Second this car is very nice I love the style.
Third I am hoping some of the tricks are built into that suspension like the Gmod, welding the Sub... so decent spring rates?
Fourth how will this car be used? Show or Fun/Race?
If were going Fun Race I can't wait to see a car built by a well respected builder without all the High $$ parts run against some of the other Cars with those parts...

Our customer decided to keep things in check with the budget, Many more things could have been done but this is a driver and the thought of doing a 6 figure car just couldnt happen .
This car was supposed to be just a repaint but turned into this. Its a great car no matter what parts are used or not. Most likely one of the nicest Sunoco cars you will see.
The next one will be the BEST of the Best
