I'm looking for someone that can build a custom billet grill for a 1969 Camaro. I want to take an RS Grill shell, cut out the center, and isntall a billet grill completely across the shell (over the headlights). Do any of you guys do this kind of work? or can you recommend a good shop? I'm located in Southern California so would like to try and find someone out this direction.

Also, any legality issues regarding running a grill across your lights? I've seen several show cars do this, but not sure if I am asking for trouble or not.

Thanks.....Eric

I do not know of a shop that does it but I know a place called chevyland.com makes one for 68's and i am pretty sure they have one for 69's something to look at. I think that it might draw attention from the law. atleast around where i am cuz they are pretty strict.

You might try giving Dan Fink a call. Check him out here http://www.hotrodproducts.com/grille_inserts.htm

Eric,
I was thinking of making one this summer, exactly like you mentioned.
If you get one made, I'd love to see it.
