By now there are plenty of pictures of the cars that were there but I wanted to grab some shots of the people too. I do have a good number of car pics in here but I also wanted to show a bit of the country and some behind the scenes shots as well. I have added some descriptions where necessary. Sorry if I butchered anyone's name. I just want to say to everyone that was there that I cherish the friendships that I've made with each and every one of you and a big thank you to Bill Howell, Larry Callahan, Yancy, and a host of others that busted their asses to make this happen. The beads of sweat pouring down your faces all weekend did not go unnoticed.

The cars are good, but it's the people that make this event great.

We are the greatest car club in the world.

You'll only really understand what that means when you finally go. SEMA's not going to do it for you.

Enjoy.

Wow, Tony, those are really nice. Thanks for sharing. As usual I did not get to meet near as many people as I wished I had. I had no idea that was you with Andrew behind us after dinner. I think we need name tags in the future.

Events like this one adds strength to the industry, alot of car builders like myself have been reluctant to build something that we couldn't compete to the limits of the vehicle. These events will start to attract saturday night racers nationwide. I'm sold.

Mr. Quick, send me your e-mail address via PM.

57hemicuda....it's just a little starter DSLR; a Nikon D40. I got two lenses plus the camara for $700 through Costco.com. It got a ton of great reviews on Amazon and Circuit City. So far it's been a great camara to learn with. I still have a long way to go though. Thanks

Robert....thank you very much for letting me peek in that one night you shot the black Camaro. I was really hoping to hang out with you, John and Steve during your photo shoots after the auto cross but my foot was throbbing badly and I also wanted a chance to buy John and Andrew dinner that night as they were the reason I was able to go this year. I'll be looking out for you next year. Hopefully you come out. It was great meeting you too.

By the way, for everone that is viewing the pictures...the very last shot that shows the rear of a black '68 Camaro is not one of my pictures. I could not for the life of me figure out where the hell it came from. After studying if for a bit I noticed there was a green subframe on an armature and then it hit me....that is a pic taken in front of ATS's shop in Las Vegas. Trouble is...I've never been to ATS's shop in Las Vegas....so how the hell did it end up on my computer and in my flickr account?

Hmmmm..................

Love that shot of Prodigy coming out of the forbidden caverns.

And just so you know, that is the exact moment Michael blew the half shafts! I am behind him in the red 67 Chevelle, he saw Tony's camera, blipped the throttle, pulled second gear, and Kapow! Destroyed both half shafts. Thanks for the great pic Tony.

Steve, then the pics are working. My hope is that every person who decided to miss this year will see these pics and feel the same way. Congrats on the new Grandchild. We just gave Mom and Pops a new one 2 months ago.

That looks like a very fun event. Hopefully when the car is done, I can make it to this event. Maybe ship the car accross the country, store it somewhere, then fly out to do this one, Power Tour, etc. Man I hope I hit the lotto soon.

Thanks for sharing the pics. Like a lot of others, I wish I could have made it and hope to join you next year. St. Louis isn't that far away. To many car shows and events and not enough vacation.

I'm going to SEMA this year so hopefully I can snag a dinner ticket. I went the first two years and haven't been able to make it back since.

I really enjoyed the pics. The wife and I are in pic 137, I am leaning on the table talking to Melinda. My wife Emily helped cook everybody,s lunch on Saturday. I told Bill the only way she would come back next year was to get a ride in the Vette, or somebody elses car. She enjoyed the event also, maybe we can spend more time at the Toy Box next year. After seeing what the RTTH is all about I will skip the car show and hang out more, hopefully with a car of my own. I met a bunch of nice folks. Vinnie helped me out the first night, my dad was having altenator problems. So he lent us a set of jumper cables.Jeff Tate let me ride along in the auto X, now I am hooked!!! I also met yelcamino, and drop it 69 and bow tie 67. Everybody treated us like we had been friends forever.
