Any body running a BBC in a 2nd gen 1970 camaro, with DSE chassis or Art Morrison chassis with 2.125 big tube headers yet? Doe it fit. I might sell my custom chassis and go this way if it works out.

I have not done that exact senario with those headers, but I am sure they will fit with ease, there is lots of room for headers. I would look to lemons for the headers.

Once you get rid of that pile of crap steering box you should have gobs of room. I bet Lemons can build you a set with a steering box as big as you want.

I already have race headman's, they fit my frankenstein POS chassis, now that I modified it again. I have 67-69 2.125 in. headers that I moved the one tube and now the steering shaft fits to the rack without multiple joints. I still have issues with it and I might change it. I know Morrison does not have the second gen yet. I think the DSE would be a tight fit. I am also concerned about running a mechanical clutch linkage and using the oil pan that I need to run. It is a 548 in. BBC so the pan needs some volume, DSE says it won't fit. I will post up pics later. I have a lot of time so I can wait it out. I just don't want more mistakes, I have a lot of time in this chassis and more money than I will admit. It is still not making me happy. maybe I will sell the chassis to a drag racer, it is light and strong enough now that I modified it for that application.

We have the prototype sub done, all we need to do is build the jig table...

cool! manual clutch linkage possible on that? Matt was supposed to find out what Agr rack P# was being used, I have a brand new one. Plus I have coilovers already, I just need a measurement.

The subframe has been available for some time. Hub track width is 60.5".

Manual clutch linkage is possible, but you'd have to fab the bracket. On our first gen sub, all you really need to do is flip it around and bolt/ weld it to the subframe rail.

I know its out I asked this a year ago and forgot to check the status of the post.

Could you tell me if part# 732581 AGR rack is the one you use, and I have Aldan Eagle coil overs that we discussed might work, they are 13.5 in extended and have the spherical ends on them. I might piece together a frame sourcing used parts to save money, (I am trying to sell or junk my pos chassis.) What are the biggest headers that fit?

thanks for any help,

Yes and no. We do use a 79-93 style steering rack, but the tie rods are longer for our application, along with the valving. You may have to change tie rods to make it long enough.

Your coilovers will not work, because the shock's length at ride height will need to be 13".

Header primary size will be up to you...you could have a custom set made with some pretty big primaries.

Do you mean the inner or the outers? What is different about the valving?

I thought somebody else might also like to know, isn't that why we post things up and ask questions?
