For those with iPhones, I thought this was interesting. Yet another reason to ditch my Blackberry.

yeah, a co-worker with a Lexus ISF has it, and said it was fairly accurate. i haven't coughed up the $13 for it yet, tho.

i just noticed two others, g-force for $3, and g-tac for $5. no reviews on those, yet.

Garage 419 has their review: it's good

I have tried it. While I haven't had my truck on the dyno, it is remarkably accurate in comparison with the HP calculations I've done by measuring torque output through HPTuners.

While nothing will replace a true dyno, it does work well as long as it's held immobile while sampling. Well worth the price.

There is no such thing as an iPod wifi. It's the iPod Touch.

I have it on my iPhone and I was going to compare it to the drag strip numbers on Tuesday but my junk broke.

I can't find out on thier stuff if it auto starts or not? Or if you have to push the button as you take off. If it is an auto start, how will it do while you are sitting on the line building boost?
Thanks!

I have it, Haven't tried it in the 'Cuda yet, but it seem like good program.

If you already got an iPhone why not try it instead of getting a $200 gtech..

We did some correlation at work with our VBox III and the dynolicious program. The results were not great for the Dynolicious, it was off every parameter that we measured. For example speed was off like 8mph and that was at a lower speed. I mean it's cheap and a cool little toy to play around with but just don't expect it to be accurate.

X2. the G-Force app. is barely worth the $2.00. Some guys on my local forum have tried the dynolicious with moderate succes. I'de like to see some of your guy's comparisons to real track times.

Wow... the "TOY" phone market is blowing up with all kinds of useless, but seemingly worthy... crap. Like I would have never seen this coming... LOL.

Good luck with that. You will get no real, repeatable accuracy with a GPS based program when dealing with anything related to acceleration forces. It can not be done accurately... without... an accelerometer.

But... for $13 smackers... what the hell.

It uses an accelerometer inside the phone, not the GPS. Because it will work with the iPod Touch, it does not have the GPS.

Reeeeeeeealy ?

A one bit device... has no resolution to talk about.

Yeah it uses a tiny 3-axis linear accelerometer (seems to be a type of variable capacitance accel) and it has a selectable full scale of +/-2g's or +/-8g's.
